Dr. Heerwagen graduated from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine with a MD degree in 1985. He then completed his five year orthopedic residency in Fort Worth, Texas, where he served as chief resident in 1990. He has been in an active orthopedic surgery practice in Lewisville and Flower Mound since 1990. Dr. Heerwagen provides general orthopedic care with specialty interests in Sports Medicine, Joint Replacement, and Arthroplasty.
Dr. Heerwagen lives in Flower Mound with his wife and two children. He is the team physician for the Flower Mound High School Jaguars. Dr. Heerwagen's interest include mountain biking, camping, boating, and rock climbing.
