Danny K.. Corbitt, M.D.

Dr. Corbitt was born and raised in the Piney Woods of East Texas graduating from Crockett High School in 1972.  He was the first member of his extended family to obtain a college degree. He accomplished this plateau with his B.S. from Texas A&M University, Summa Cum Laude, in 1976.  He was simultaneously attending the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and graduated from there in 1979 as one of the five finalists for the prestigious Gold Headed Cane Award.

His internship and residencies were done at John Peter Smith Hospital in Ft. Worth from 1979-1985, which included Family Practice and Orthopedic tenures.  Dr. Corbitt's last year of residency was spent with Dr. Keith Watson, developing his interest in shoulder problems and their treatment.  This was followed by a sabbatical with Dr. Richard Hawkins in London, Ontario, for more shoulder training.

He subsequently moved with his wife, Sallie, initially to Carrollton, then to Lewisville/Highland Village in order to join Orthopedic Associates.

Dr. Corbitt has three children, Andy, Katie and Hayley, who have been privileged to participate in the Lewisville I.S.D. system.  He and Sallie, with their children, have been members of the Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church since the early 1990's.  He has been the team physician for Marcus High School since its opening in 1985.  He has served on the Board of Directors at Denton Country Club and is a Board Emeritus member of the Board of Trustees at Lewisville Medical Center.

Priorities in the following order are: God, family, shoulders, golf, and music.

"I have been blessed to live and work in the Lewisville area, watching its incredible growth, over the last 21 years.  I thank you for allowing me to be part of your community."
